What to Expect on Your First Visit
To ensure
your visit with us is a pleasant one,
here are the procedures you can expect
in your first visit, which will last
45-60 minutes.
Paperwork:
Completing our initial questionnaire
helps us to get to know you in addition
to allowing us to check your insurance.
The doctor will use this information to
help formulate your care program. You
will also be given a copy of our privacy
policies. (Click the links on the left
to fill out these forms ahead of time)
Consultation: You'll meet Dr.
Weiner, who will review your health
history and determine if yours is a
chiropractic case. If Dr. Weiner can
help you, he will let you know. If Dr.
Weiner cannot help you, you will be
referred the appropriate specialist.
Examination: Complete physical,
orthopedic, neurological and
chiropractic examinations will be
performed to determine the causes of
your problem. We ask that you wear
comfortable clothes to your first visit.
Gowns can also be provided.
X-Ray: If
necessary, the doctor may
refer you for additional testing
procedures.
Report of
Findings: Once all the information
and examinations have been performed,
the doctor will give you a report of
findings and tell you specific
recommendations for treatment.
Treatment:
The doctor will use a carefully
directed and controlled pressure to
restore the moveable bones of your spine
to a more normal motion and position.
These procedures are called
"manipulation". The doctor may
suggest the application of heat, ice or
the use of some other procedure to help
reduce inflammation and make you more
comfortable. Advice may be given on
posture, exercise and nutrition to speed
your recovery. Most of our patients
begin to see results from the very first
visit. Our gentle and effective
treatment is gentle enough for kids, yet
able to restore function and movement
for the athlete and senior. The doctor
will review the modalities with you
ahead of time to make sure you are
completely comfortable with the
treatment plan.
Our office
participates in many
insurance programs. We also accept
auto accident and workers compensation
cases. For patients who have little or
no insurance coverage, flexible payment
programs can be arranged. For
